Neon City Rain

The city is lit up by the glow of neon signs, you can hear the electrical hum from nearby power transformers and apartment air conditioners.
Rainfall drips into gutters and flows down into drains, pools of water form across the roads and into the surrounding alleyways.
The sounds of rain washes away most the audible night life except for the occasional traffic or airliner flying across the dark sky.

This is my Neon City Rain ambience, it has been seamlessly looped.

This is a manually constructed virtual sound environment using 3D spatial audio techniques.
When sound has been recorded as standard stereo audio, it loses all the information your brain uses to tell you where the sound is coming from. Spatial audio simulation allows us to regain a lot of this information. In this ambience, I have attempted to process, mix and position audio all around you using spatial audio technology to create a more immersive rain experience.
